Navigating the Overwhelm: A Personal Insight

Reflecting on the times when the creative pressure was just too much, I realized it was when I was trying to juggle more than I could handle.

As an Enneagram 9, juggling isn’t my favorite pastime.

Between this newsletter, my podcast, social media posts, managing Content Clips, and now steering the ship at Content Creators Circle - it’s a lot. And it prompts the question: How does one person manage all these platforms?

The Power of ‘No’ and the Journey to Here

Here’s my secret – I can’t do it all. And I don’t. There's a lot of things I turn down because if I didn’t, I’d be running on empty. But saying ‘no’ has also opened doors to incredible help and support along the way.

My journey didn’t start with me wearing all these hats. It began with a single post on Instagram, and from there, it blossomed.

I navigated my way through TikTok, started the podcast, launched this newsletter, kicked off Content Clips, and welcomed Content Creators Circle.

By establishing systems for each platform, I’ve been able to manage and scale my content production. Without these systems, I’d be stuck.

Now, do I need to be everywhere? Certainly not.

I could streamline and solely focus on this newsletter, driving engagement through Facebook ads.

But here’s the thing – I love what I do. I thrive on the diversity of content creation, from newsletters to podcasts and everything in between.

Finding Your Balance: Joy, Goals, and Capacity

It’s about striking a balance. Prioritizing what’s aligned with your goals and brings you joy.

And when it comes to goals, remember: they need to be measurable.

As Peter Drucker put it, “You can’t manage what you can’t measure.”
