Podcast Promotions: A Guest's Responsibility or Not?
Apparently there is still a market for manual transmission cars. Toyota is reportedly working on an electric vehicle prototype that mimics the feel of driving a manual transmission. There’s no engine, drive shaft, or gears…it’s all software based. If anyone at Toyota is reading this, we don’t want a fake manual transmission car…we want a real Hoverboard from Back to the Future.

Should a guest on a podcast promote the episode once it's released?
Over the past couple of years, there's been a lot of debate about whether guests should promote an episode once it goes live.
Surprisingly, in all these discussions, I've rarely seen guests chime in with comments like:
"I wasn't aware when the episode was coming out."
"I wasn't given any promotional material."
"I don't know what link to share with my audience."
Or, perhaps the most honest response of all...
"I just didn't think the interview was very good."
The truth is, there could be a myriad of reasons why a guest wouldn't promote an episode.
Despite podcasting requiring a lot of work, and feedback often seeming few and far between, it's important to remember that it's not the guest's job to market a podcast episode.
The guest isn't there to offer free podcast promotion for you.
Their role is to provide an engaging interview for your audience to enjoy.
Ironically, the more captivating the interview you conduct with your guest, the more likely they are to want to share it with their own audience.

It appears this trending section has temporarily turned into a Reddit update. In the latest Reddit news, hackers have threatened to leak 80GB of confidential data stolen from Reddit unless the company pays a ransom demand. They’re demanding $4.5 million and for Reddit to withdraw its API pricing changes.
