❓ The One Question Tim Ferriss Asks All His Guests
As if 2023 wasn't already overwhelming with technological advancements, researchers achieved another breakthrough in quantum computing. They successfully mitigated 'quantum noise,' which they identify as the main hurdle for this kind of technology. The researchers predict that quantum computers could have practical real-world applications within the next two years. Researchers have not commented, yet, whether or not this will solve the problem of all the photos on your phone that you don’t need but don’t go through and delete.

Content creators and commentators, Colin and Samir, had Tim Ferriss on their show this week.
If you're unfamiliar with Ferriss, he is the author of the bestselling book 'The 4-Hour Workweek' and host of the popular podcast, 'The Tim Ferriss Show'.
His podcast has been downloaded over a billion times since its inception in 2014. He's interviewed an array of influential figures including LeBron James, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jamie Foxx.
What I particularly loved about the episode is that they posed some excellent questions to Tim about his podcasting process.
Tim said one thing in particular that stood out, which made me immediately think, "that's going in Friday's email".
At the beginning of every interview Tim conducts with a guest, he asks them one simple question:
"What would make this time really well spent for you?"
He says that at least 20-30% of his guests reply with "Huh, I've actually never had someone ask me that."
I thought this was a genius approach because it immediately shows respect to the interviewee, acknowledging their time and presence.
Recently, as a guest on a podcast, I implemented this technique. Before we began recording, I asked the host, "What would make this a great episode for you?"
The host then shared more about his thought process behind the show…which helped me as a guest. Naturally, this led him to ask me about pivoting to certain topics, and the interview went great.
It's such a quick, yet subtly powerful sentence that I know I'll be adopting as part of my own podcasting process, both as a host and guest.

The Reddit protests are still ongoing. Yesterday, the company stated that more than 80 percent of the top 5,000 communities are now open. Due to the prevalence of Reddit links in Google search results, and the fact that many popular subreddits have been set to private, the quality of many users' searches has been affected.
