How to Make Fewer Mistakes
Physicists from Drexel University have produced a new image of the Milky Way Galaxy using neutrinos, which are tiny astronomical “ghost particles”. They used new machine learning techniques to filter data and produce the image. This astronomical discovery is expected to have applications that help reveal other unknown aspects of the universe. Here’s to hoping we can take a decent picture of the moon with our phone by 2040.

How do you make fewer mistakes?
We all make mistakes, but how can we make fewer of them?
One way is to avoid repeating the same mistakes over and over.
When it comes to podcasting mistakes, I've found my biggest source of errors often results from not following a process.
A few years ago, I read "The Checklist Manifesto" by Atul Gawande, and it changed my life.
I know what you're thinking, "You read a book about checklists? Wow, you must be the life of the party!"
But seriously, checklists have been a game-changer for me.
One example Gawande provides in his book is a story about the construction of a skyscraper.
The complexity of building a skyscraper is so immense, with all the different tasks happening simultaneously, all of which are interdependent and critical for the building's successful completion.
According to Gawande, what managed this complexity wasn't more sophisticated technology or superhuman management skills, but a simple checklist.
The checklists ensured that all tasks, no matter how minor or seemingly unimportant, were completed in the correct sequence and at the appropriate time.
This resulted in improved coordination, smoother workflow, and fewer errors.
The same concept can be applied to podcasting. By having a checklist of tasks and ensuring you follow it, you'll make fewer mistakes.
A checklist also helps you to outsource more efficiently and ensures you know exactly what you need from your team or guests.
Checklists aren't just for building skyscrapers - they can transform your show too!
