Why Knowing Less Has Helped Me Achieve More
Did you know that the domain name "Voice.com" holds the record for being the most expensive domain name ever sold? It was purchased for a price of $30 million in 2019.
In today’s newsletter:
Ignorance: Why doing no research, ultimately led to me writing you this email right now.
Buzzsprout: The podcast hosting home of Digital Podcaster
Goodbye: Google Podcasts is going away, Meta is using Facebook and Instagram comments for A.I., and more.

DYLAN’S DOWNLOAD
When I first started my podcasting journey with a clear vision to become a podcast coach, my grasp of the industry landscape was admittedly limited.
In those initial weeks, I thought it was just me. Literally the only podcast coach.
This naive unawareness allowed me to:
Express ideas without the worry of others opinions.
Create product ideas centered around solutions.
Build confidence on my journey.
It wasn’t long before I discovered the reality — there were actually numerous podcast coaches.
Some of whom had been publicly sharing their expertise for years.
My initial ignorance turned out to be a blessing though, as I had already gathered enough momentum.
Instead of feeling defeated and contemplating a change of path, I viewed the presence of other coaches as an indicator of demand in the market.
I started to differentiate myself from other podcast coaches by honing in on a specific niche within the podcasting industry. This helped me embrace who I was, and how I could serve best.
All of this to say, after recent conversations about personal branding, the saying 'ignorance is bliss' has never rung truer.
I think we can all agree, sometimes we don’t need more information, but a limitation. Less. So we can focus on one thing and act decisively.
We can figure it out as we go, but we can’t figure it out before we go.
Here’s to embracing the bliss in ignorance and the clarity in focused action!

CREATOR RESOURCE
Buzzsprout
Buzzsprout is my preferred podcast hosting service. I love it because it’s simple. I got a little nervous when they added ‘Co-Host A.I.’ recently…but thankfully it’s a separate feature, that doesn’t get in the way or constantly try to get me to sign up. Digital Podcaster has been on Buzzsprout since day 1, and I have no intention of leaving. I particularly like the dynamic ad insertion feature…and did I mention it’s simple?
* The link used for Buzzsprout is an affiliate link that gets you and I both $20 credit.
**Heads up! In this section, up until this email I’ve exclusively included free resources. But after speaking with so many people, I felt like I was leaving out some solid paid options that I use and recommend. Moving forward, some of these resource recommendations will be paid, some will free. The goal is to provide helpful resources not limit them to only free stuff. Also, some of the links might be affiliate links, and I’ll disclose that. Integrity is more important to me than money, so know that I only recommend paid things that I have used and/or have verified trust in.

CREATE & COLLABORATE
There’s two things I’m excited about and the cost of entry for both is vastly different 😂
Content Clips. We are now a full-service content creation solution. Video clips? You got it. Podcasts? Yep. Quote card? Mmhmm. Lead magnets? Oh yeah. And the best part? We can do 99% of the work with you simply sharing 1 link.
Content Creators Circle. I don’t know about you, but Facebook Groups to meet other content creators are weird. I don’t know the people in charge of the group. I don’t know what’s ok to post. And I don’t want to stick around to find out. That’s why I just launched Content Creators Circle. It’s our community of like-minded creators. You can get feedback, encouragement, resources, and hop on live bi-weekly calls with me. It’s free to check out and even if you dig it and stick around, let’s be real, it’s freakin’ cheap.
