How Interactive Show Notes Can Help Your Podcast
One tip I recommend over and over to podcasting clients is interactive show notes.
Are you familiar with them?
It’s where you include a companion element to your episode.
It could be something like a PDF download.
The goal is add a little bit more value to your episode, and build your podcasts email list at the same time.
You don’t need to include this with every episode. Doing it once every few episodes starts to add up.
Also, you don’t need to spend a lot of time making this.
It takes a little bit of planning and using something like Canva to make the download.
The process works something like this (feel free to modify):
1. You plan your episode and companion PDF.
2. Make the PDF in Canva.
3. During recording, mention the PDF throughout and how listeners can follow along.
4. Provide a simple link at the top of your episode description. Grab their email address before sending them the download.
Podcasts are fantastic at adding value. When you can add a bit of extra value on top of the value you’re already providing, you’re going to stand out.
Would you give something like this a try?
