Change is Inevitable – But Should It Touch Your Past Podcasts?

On course for how 2023 seems to be trending, researchers have discovered that self-healing metal is not just science fiction. There is growing optimism that self-healing machines and structures could be a reality in the very near future. Besides the obvious scary, self-healing robots taking over the world, what about a future of no cell phone cases…

If you rebrand your podcast, would you go back and swap out or edit the previous episodes?

For me, most likely no.

I treat Digital Podcaster like a snapshot into what I'm thinking, seeing, hearing and feeling.

There are earlier episodes I've done that I don't feel are quite "on brand". But because I'm at episode 150, that's just far too much work for little reward.

It'd be much easier to edit previous episodes when you have less episodes.

Also, let's face it, who knows what the future brings...I'll likely change things up again.

My recommendation would be unless you are changing things drastically, keep moving forward. People will likely need less context than you think.

WHAT’S BUZZIN’

A group of artists have sued A.I. companies, alleging misuse of their artwork to train A.I. systems. A U.S. Judge has said during a hearing that he was inclined to dismiss most of the lawsuit, and allow them to try again, but they need to be clearer about exactly what they’re upset about and need to provide more proof their artwork was copied.
