The Art of Catering to Your Community Like a Pro
Have you ever wondered what the International Space Station smells like? Me neither. But apparently it smells like “combinations of antiseptic, garbage, and body odor.”
In today’s newsletter:
Community: Breaking down who and how you’re serving your audience best.
Emoji Generator: The fun to play with AI emoji creator.
Edit: Threads is getting a nice update, Spotify for Podcasters is rolling out new features, and more.

DYLAN’S DOWNLOAD
This week, I chatted with Arielle Nissenblatt, Community Manager at Descript, on my podcast.
She dropped a community-building gem I'd never heard before.
She broke down Descript's user base into three distinct community subsets:
Group 1: These folks are here to use the product, and that's it. They love Descript but have zero interest in community engagement.
Group 2: These are your raving fans. They not only use Descript but also want to be in on every event, talk to the team, give feedback, and get the spotlight.
Group 3: The majority land here—somewhere in the middle. They dig the product and might engage now and then when something piques their interest.
Arielle's mission? Identify these groups and tailor her approach to serve each group uniquely.
What I love about this is the realization that not everyone in your community is cut from the same cloth.
Let 'em choose how they show up!
It's not about right or wrong—it's about giving your people options.
Here’s how you could apply this to your content…
Create content that caters to each subset of your audience:
For Group 1, focus on providing product tutorials, tips, and updates.
For Group 2, create opportunities for them to interact with you through live events, or a Discord-type channel).
