4 Steps to Attracting More of Who You Want

Did you know that early wireless TV remote controls, commonly referred to as “clickers”, didn't use batteries or electronics? When you pressed the button, it struck a bar, emitting an ultrasonic sound. This sound was detected by the TV, which then responded to the command.

In today’s newsletter:

  • Step-By-Step: Are you attracting the right people? Here’s how you can make sure.

  • Speakflow: A teleprompter that moves with your voice.

  • Update: Apple’s next major updates are available, Actor Stephen Fry says his voice was stolen, and more.

I’m halfway through a beta program for a new content creation framework I’m developing, mainly for coaches and consultants.

The framework is divided into 4 parts:

  1. Identify problems.

  2. Address problems.

  3. Package the solution.

  4. Refine and repeat.

A common mistake many of us make is jumping directly to the 3rd step, packaging the solution, without really understanding the problem we’re trying to address.

It's akin to a chef preparing tiramisu for diners, only to discover they've just woken up and crave breakfast. Delicious dish, but wrong timing!

Take me as an example. I run a business called Content Clips.

If I post content about on my business page about video editing tips, finding music for videos, or repurposing videos for social media, I'm likely to attract those keen on video creation…more specifically those looking to do it themselves.

The challenge addressed here is, "I’m clueless about video editing, and you’re teaching me."

A more pressing concern relevant to my business might be, "I’m swamped with 326 tasks. I know the importance of social media but don’t know where to start. How do I handle this?"

Did you catch the distinction? Two different issues with contrasting solutions…and only one of them my business works with best.

Consider every post as a magnet.

Does it pull in what I'm aiming for?

And remember, not every post has the same intention. Some of my Instagram Digital Podcaster posts, for instance, aim to attract wonderful, positive folks with interests similar to mine.

Thankfully, my vibe tends to repel the less pleasant crowd, leaving me with fantastic, incredible, gorgeous individuals like you.

The reason I mention this is simple: Whether intentional or not, we draw in a certain audience every time we publish. So, it's important to be conscious of the message we're sending out.

Speakflow

Speakflow is an online teleprompter tool that I've been loving. While there are many teleprompter options available, what sets Speakflow apart is its simplicity and its ability to automatically move with your voice as you speak. I've found that most teleprompter apps are clunky, inaccurate, and frustrating, especially when all you want to do is record.
